The roof job you were
about to decline

It's on the hoist right now: a convertible stopped mid-fold, a leak that's beaten two attempts, cylinders weeping into the carpet. Declining it means an awkward phone call; keeping it means owning a system you don't tool for. There's a third option: around twenty trade workshops already use it, including European-make specialists in NSW and Queensland who send this work on repeat. Send it here. The job stays yours.

Two ways to send it

The car comes here.
Or just the cylinders do.

Two rails, same ending: tested work, an itemised trade invoice, and a parts & labour warranty. Pick the one that keeps your bay moving.

Rail 01

Send the car

Whole-of-roof jobs

What it suits

Anything bigger than a cylinder: a leak that won't trace, a mechanism that stops at the B-pillar, a roof stuck open in your car park, cassette and glass work, hydraulic and mechanism rebuilds. The mechanical, hydraulic and electrical jobs that eat a bay for a week and still go back together wrong. We don't do any trimming or upholstery, so soft-top fabric stays with a motor trimmer.

What we do

Diagnose before we quote. Then the quote arrives with evidence: what failed, photos of it, parts and labour itemised. You approve it, we repair it with OEM or premium aftermarket parts, and nothing leaves until it's been tested, water on it where water was the complaint.

How it gets here

However it can. Drivable cars drive, dead ones come on a tilt-tray, and your customer can drop it off if that's easier for everyone. Call first so we plan the arrival and have a hoist clear — stuck-open and non-drivable cars are a normal Tuesday here.

Rail 02

Post the cylinders

The car never leaves your hoist

What it suits

Hydraulic roof faults where you've already found the weeping ram. Your techs pull the cylinders, the car stays on your hoist, and your customer never knows the part travelled. Mail-in cylinder rebuilds are our volume trade line for exactly this reason.

What we do

Strip each ram, rebuild it with new seals, bench-test it under pressure, and post it back ready to refit and bleed. Cylinders already arrive here from Queensland, Victoria, WA, the ACT and New Zealand — distance isn't the obstacle it looks like.

One thing first

Call before anything goes in a box. We'll confirm which cylinders to pull and how to cap and pack them so they travel clean. Two minutes on the phone saves a leaking satchel and a week of back-and-forth.

White-label & margin

Your name on the job.
Ours nowhere near it.

The reason workshops hesitate to sublet isn't the work — it's the worry that the subcontractor walks off with the customer. Here's how we've kept around twenty workshops comfortable.

White-label
You send the car or post the part, we repair and test, we invoice your workshop. Your customer hears every update from your service desk and collects from you. Tell us on the first job that it runs white-label and it stays that way.
Non-solicitation
We don't market to your customer afterwards. The relationship stays yours. No follow-up texts, no stickers on the windscreen, no reminder campaigns aimed at a customer who arrived through your door.
The margin
Trade rates sit below retail. We invoice you at trade; you bill your customer at your rate. The job you were about to decline becomes a line on your invoice instead of a refund conversation.
The warranty
Parts & labour on the repair, the same as retail — and it holds whether the invoice was ours or yours. Your name ends up on the job, so the warranty has to stand behind your name too.

Prefer your customer deals with us directly? That runs here every week too: bookings, updates and handover through our counter, billing wherever you've pointed it. Your call, job by job.

Logistics

Four steps. Your bay stays free.

  1. 1

    Call first

0418 200 289 with the car and the symptom. We'll tell you straight whether it's a send-the-car job or a post-the-cylinders job — and what to do before either one moves.

  2. 2

The car — or the box — arrives

Tow-ins and customer drop-offs both work; so does a courier satchel full of capped rams. We're open Saturdays, which helps when your week is already full.

  3. 3

    Diagnose, quote, repair

Evidence first, then the quote, then the work — done by specialist technicians and tested before anything leaves. Parts & labour warranty on the repair.

  4. 4

Back to you, billed at trade

We invoice your workshop at trade rates; you invoice your customer however you normally would. White-label end to end if that's how you set it up.

How trade rates work

No minimums.
The work earns the rate.

We don't ask workshops to sign volume promises to unlock pricing. The arrangement rewards what actually happens, not what a contract predicted.

From job one
Trade rates apply from the first job. No application form, no waiting period. The first job opens the account, and it's quoted at trade.
No committed minimums
We won't ask your workshop to commit to a number of jobs. Some months you'll see three roofs, some months none — that's the trade, and the rate doesn't punish you for it.
Trailing-volume reviews
As your jobs accumulate, we review your rate retrospectively against the volume you've actually sent. Sharper terms follow the trail of real work — looking backwards, not at a forecast.
Credentials
Convertible & Sunroof Autocentre · ABN 28 764 532 243 · Public liability insurance held — certificate of currency on request.

Straight answers

What workshops
ask us first

If yours isn't here, call 0418 200 289. You'll get the same straight answer your customers would.

Ask us directly
Will our customer know the work went out?

Only if you tell them. White-label is normal here: you send the car or post the cylinders, we repair and test, we invoice your workshop, and your customer hears it all from you. We don't market to your customer afterwards. The relationship stays yours.

Do we have to commit to volume to get trade rates?

No. Trade rates apply from the first job, with no committed minimums. We don't ask workshops to promise volume. As the jobs build up, we review your rate retrospectively against the work you've actually sent. The trail of jobs earns the sharper rate, not a signature on a forecast.

The car can't be driven: the roof is stuck open. How does it get to you?

Tow-ins and customer drop-offs both work; non-drivable and stuck-open cars are normal here. Call 0418 200 289 first so we can plan the arrival and have a hoist clear. We're at 54/58 Princes Hwy, Arncliffe, open Monday to Friday and open Saturdays.

How does posting hydraulic cylinders work?

Call first so we confirm the cylinders and how to cap and pack them. You remove the rams and post them to Arncliffe; we rebuild them with new seals, bench-test them under pressure, and post them back ready to refit and bleed. Cylinders already arrive here from Queensland, Victoria, WA, the ACT and New Zealand.

Next step

Send the one on the hoist.
The account follows.

No forms, no setup meeting. The first job opens the account. Call 0418 200 289 with the car and the symptom, or email a trade enquiry and we'll come back to you.
